Jon Voss and Kayla Hussey were crowned the 2010 Lee County 4-H Fair king and queen on Friday, July 23. Voss is a member of the Golden Aces 4-H Club and Hussey is a member of the Grove Go Getters. Both are 2010 graduates of AFC High School and headed to college later this fall. ...more

ASHTON -- The Ashton Business Boosters Association is once again sponsoring the city-wide garage sales on Saturday, Aug. 7. Cost to participate is $8.
This includes advertising in local newspapers, listing on the Lincoln Highway website, yard signs and maps.
Deadline to be included is 9 a.m. on July 30.

Kennay prepares to study in Switzerland

Grace Kennay, a soon to be senior at AFC High School will travel to Switzerland later this month to embark on a learning experience. She along with about 25 students from across the United States and other countries will participate in a 10-day program to learn more about international business and cultures.
