ASHTON — Sarah Smith, of Ashton, daughter of Mike and Donna Smith, received a scholarship to attend the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy, July 12-17.

Julie Foudy, current ABC/ESPN analyst, retired USA Women’s Soccer Team Captain, two-time Olympic Gold Medalist, two-time World Cup Champion, and inductee to the U.S. National Soccer Hall of Fame in 2007 successfully launched the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy (the “JFSLA”) in the summer of 2006, along with four other founders.
