ASHTON — The folks at Ashton Foods are pleased with the community response to their recent opening.
“Business is increasing and it is evident that the community is glad to have a grocery store back in town,” said manager Clint Garland.
Garland who is also the manager of Beggs Foods in Amboy says that if business continues in this positive manner, they will soon be making expansions to the deli and to the meat department. They are happy to be providing Crest Foods employees with hot and cold deli. Currently they offer chicken, burgers and pizza.
Ashton Foods carries the Ashton Gazette, the Rochelle Newsleader, the Sauk Valley News and the Rockford Register Star. They also have a great selection of current magazines.
The employees encourage everyone to stop by and visit the store. Also they want senior citizens and shut ins to know that they will be happy to deliver groceries to local citizens. Just call the store at 815-453-5024 to make arrangements.
