OGLE COUNTY — On Nov. 19 at approximately 7 a.m., Ogle County Sheriff’s Deputes responded to the Ashton area to assist the Lee County Sheriff’s Office with a burglary that had just been reported. A short time later, an Ogle County Deputy located a male walking along IL Route 38 in Ogle County just north of Ashton, this individual was later determined to have been involved in the Ashton burglary.
During the investigation Ogle County Deputies, identified this person as William W. Clark, 33, of Rochelle. Clark was subsequently charged with two business burglaries in rural Chana, one business in Creston, and one residential burglary on Route 38 outside of Rochelle.
Deputies then executed two search warrants in the Shrangri-La trailer park, located two miles west of Rochelle.
As a result of those search warrants a large amount of stolen property was recovered that had been taken from burglaries in Ogle County.
On Nov. 20 Ogle County Deputies arrested Adam J. Orenday, 30, of Rockford, for his involvement in the two business burglaries in rural Chana, one business burglary in Creston and a business burglary in Rochelle.
Clark’s bond is set at $100,000 (10 percent) and he also has a parole violation from the Department of Corrections. Orenday’s bond is set at $30,000 (10 percent).
Both are being held in the Ogle County Jail and will appear in court at a later date.
