ASHTON — The Illinois Student Assistance Commission and Ashton- Franklin Center High School are hosting a Financial Aid Presentation for high school students and parents on Dec. 10 at 7 p.m.
The goal of the presentation is to provide families with accurate and current information on the financial aid programs available, as well as how to complete the financial aid forms in a timely fashion. The presentation will cover state and federal financial aid programs, student loans, work study, and scholarships.
AFC High School senior and junior students and parents are strongly encouraged to attend; however, all are welcome. There is no cost to attend.
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) is the college access and financial aid agency in the state of Illinois that administers scholarship, grant, prepaid tuition, and student loan repayment/forgiveness programs. Elizabeth Henkel, an outreach representative from ISAC, will be giving the presentation and will be available for questions and private appointments.
