BYRON — Byron Civic Theatre’s production of “Willy Wonka,” opens this Friday, July 30 and runs for two weekends at the new Byron Middle School theatre. This is BCT’s biggest production to date with over 130 actors and actresses performing one of the greatest children’s classic movies of all time. Director Steve Bartscher, a veteran of BCT is promising a true family friendly show with some thrilling special effects. “Our creative team has done a tremendous job developing some awesome special effects. We will be flying Charlie and Grandpa Joe and the Wonkavator as well as blowing up Violet, shrinking Mike Teavee,as well as other surprises.”

Show dates are July 30, 31 and Aug. 1 and Aug 6, 7, and 8. Show times for Friday and Saturday night are 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.
