ASHTON — The AFC Raiders boy’s fresh/soph basketball team came away with a thrilling 52-49 victory over the LaMoille/Ohio Lions on Dec. 11.
The Raiders found themselves trailing 41-33 after three quarters and then went on a 12-4 run in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 45-45.
AFC quickly pulled ahead to a four point lead in the extra period. They never looked back and won by a score of 52-49.
Offensive leaders were Bobby Larke with 22 points, Kevin Kurz with 11, and Jacob Hilliker with nine points. Larke also led the team with 13 rebounds and Kurz grabbed six boards.
