Essex and the Koning sisters lead Lady Raiders past South Beloit

ASHTON — Sophomore Alisyn Essex had a career high night as she led the Raiders in a second half comeback Tuesday, Jan. 15 in South Beloit to win 60-57.

She scored 27 points including 13 in the second half.

Junior Lea Koning also had a career high with eight points including a clutch free throw with just seconds remaining.

Freshman Cassidy Koning came off the bench with the difficult assignment of trying to stop South Beloit superstar Erin Kirichkov. She had two late game steals including one for a layup to secure the victory.

The Lady Raiders are 9 and 10 for the season.
