ASHTON — The AFC boys basketball team was stuck in a four game losing streak and was looking for a way to snap it at the expense of the Kirkland Hiawatha Hawks.
They got just what they needed in a 70-57 victory on Tuesday night in Kirkland.
The Raiders jumped out to a quick 16-11 first quarter lead and stretched that lead to 36-22 by halftime while shooting 53 percent from the field.
In the second half, the Raiders led by as much as 25 points and cruised to a final score of 70-54.
Ermir Ramadani was the game leaders of each category and finished with 13 points, 11 rebounds and 7 assists. Other standouts were Troy Mairs with 17 points, 19 rebounds and two blocked shots, Bret Gittleson with nine points, seven rebounds and two steals and Nick McClanahan with seven points and three steals.
