ASHTON On Wednesday, March 13, the AFC wrestling team held their annual awards banquet. Wrestlers in attendance with their families were Anthony Hahn, Riley Stephens, Josh Kaecker, John Hilliker, Jake Chapman, Jake Kaecker, and Andrew LeFevre. Statisticians attending were Mellissa Asbury, Kristen Bartlett, Katie Sondgeroth, Aspen Weigand, and Allie Cardot. All the wrestlers received varsity letters.

Two AFC wrestlers were recognized with All-Conference honors: Jake Kaecker First Team All-Conference and Anthony Hahn - Second Team. Anthony and Jake also qualified for Individual Sectionals this year.
Congratulations were also given to Jake Kaecker for qualifying for the IHSA Individual State Tournament in Champaign. He won second place at 152 lbs. He achieved another major milestone when he won his 100th career victory. This happened to be at his first match at the State Tournament.
Ashton-Franklin Center should be proud of the way these young people carried themselves and represented our communities. The coaching staff would like to congratulate all of these young men and women for the great season they had. We are proud and honored to have been associated with you all.
