ASHTON ó The AFC fresh/soph Raiders played Stocktonís fresh/soph team Friday night. With many kids being moved around or playing varsity the Raiders mostly freshman team played very well. Even with a lop-sided score the Raiders showed a lot of good things on the field.

The Raiders leading rushers were the Hageman brothers with Jake getting 80 yards and Luke getting 61 yards on the ground. Jamey Talley also pitched in with 22 yards. Jake Hageman scored the only touchdown for the Raiders.

The final score was 36-6 in favor of Stockton.

Defensively the leading tacklers were Dalton Ibarra with 14. Adam Mairs helped out with 11 tackles and Jamey Talley also racking up 10 tackles on the night.

The Raiders still have some kinks to work out, but are improving a little each week.

The fresh/soph Raiders will have Friday night off against El Paso, but head to Pecatonica on Saturday morning for a noon game against Pecatonicaís JV team.
